About me

For my quest for happiness, health, inner peace and fulfillment, I have walked a bumpy road with some detours.
I studied Environmental Science and International Business and Management Studies, and for a large part of my life, I worked as a project engineer in the field of soil and groundwater. Alongside that, I have done a great deal of volunteer work both in the Netherlands and abroad, in organic farming, animal care, and social work. During my studies and a recent sabbatical, I also lived abroad for extended periods in Spain, France and Australia.
I am driven by a deep curiosity about life and a strong desire to connect with both nature and people. I feel a profound responsibility to contribute to a better world, in the areas of nature and environment, health, and society. These qualities have led me to gain knowledge, experience, and insights in many areas, along with valuable life lessons.
Shiatsu came into my life during a difficult time when I was struggling with myself and dealing with many issues. I was immediately fascinated by the holistic view of health and the broad, integrated approach to treatment. It just made sense.
Step by step, with the help of Shiatsu and Do-In (meridian stretches), I was able to improve both my physical and emotional well-being, and I have now fully integrated these practices into my daily life.
In 2024, I began studying Classical Shiatsu at the Shiatsu Academy in the Netherlands. As a beginning Shiatsu therapist (in training) and Do-In teacher (in training), I am incredibly enthusiastic about helping others reconnect with themselves and feel healthy and full of vitality once again.
