About me

On my journey in search for inner peace and good health, I have followed a winding path with many unexpected turns.
After completing degrees in Environmental Science and International Business and Management Studies, I spent much of my professional career working as a soil remediation project engineer. Alongside this, I have been actively involved in social and environmental initiatives, volunteering in organic farming and animal care both in the Netherlands and abroad. During my studies and a sabbatical, I also lived for extended periods in Spain, France, and Australia.
I am driven by a deep curiosity about life and a desire to connect with both nature and people. I feel a strong sense of responsibility to contribute to a better world, whether through environmental stewardship, health and well-being, or society as a whole. These values have led me to gain knowledge and experience in many different fields, while also teaching me some of life’s most valuable lessons.
During a challenging period in my life, when I was struggling both emotionally and with ongoing health issues, Shiatsu came into my life. I was immediately fascinated by its holistic approach to health and its broad perspective on treating the underlying causes of discomfort rather than just the symptoms. It simply made sense to me.
Step by step, with the support of Shiatsu and Do-In (meridian stretching exercises), I improved both my physical and mental-emotional well-being and gradually integrated these practices into my daily life.
In 2024, I began the Bachelor’s level Classical Shiatsu programme at the Shiatsu Academy in the Netherlands, which I expect to complete in 2027. As a Shiatsu practitioner in training and a Do-In teacher in training, I am passionate about supporting people who struggle with stress, inner unrest, or health concerns, helping them reconnect with their vitality and experience greater balance and well-being.
